Story from the widows

HASSANA BALA: She stated her training on 23rd of May 24, 2005; she came to know about Voice of the Christian Martyrs from one of the widow (a friend), when she returned from the village. She left for village after the 2000 Kaduna riot.

She explained how she lost her husband.

The second day of the crisis was the day my husband went out without our knowledge. We began to look for him few minutes he left from home. Till the third day of the crisis, we begin to go from one hospital to another looking for him. Fortunately we saw one of his friend in the hospital who said they were together the second day of the crisis, when the rioters came after them. They were able to cross the Kaduna River to the other side. Giving thanks to the Lord that they were saved. But another group of rioters at the other end of Kaduna River saw them and attacked them. That was how we got separated. I was wounded but I manage to escape and people around help me. But for him he was attacked and burnt down from his head to the stomach. Then we later went to the place and be able to identified him by his trouser and his clothes which they have remove from his body. Mrs. Hassana Bala was left with five children. She said she forgive them as the Bible said. But some time I remember the incident. She is the new widow among the widows.
